Digital Resources for You and Your Kids

It’s great to see you all in the library once again, and even behind our masks, we sense smiles and excitement! Browsing the shelves for what to read next is different from browsing the online catalog from an electronic device. No matter your preference, just know you have options! Through our Digital Library, you and your child can more easily navigate this challenging school year.

Here are some of my favorite digital resources:blue circle with asterisk, a-z letters, and checkmark

Brainfuse’s HelpNow

The International Children’s Digital Library

No matter your native language or the new language you’re learning, The International Children’s Digital Library offers a multitude of books published in other countries!

Kanopy

TV shows, movies, documentaries – Kanopy has quite a bit! Even The Great Courses, PBS, and a healthy selection from independent filmmakers.

Your Next Read

Finding the next book to read is an exciting challenge and shouldn’t be frustrating. We enjoy it when you ask us at the Youth Desk for ideas. But Your Next Read, our digital tool for providing book recommendations, skyrocketed when things went online in the spring and summer! Just fill out this form and we’ll send you personalized suggestions catered to your interests.

NoveList K-8 Plus

Although we give suggestions based on our knowledge, we’re not afraid to use NoveList, which you have access to, too!

The library is here to help you with these digital resources and more. Let us know how these worked for you by emailing reference followed by @gepl.org.
