Glen Ellyn Public Library has a new seed library!
What is a seed library you ask? Great question! A seed library is a place to donate and share plant seeds. Anyone can donate or take seeds for vegetables, fruits, and flowers from the collection for their own use—like Little Free Library, but for seeds. The library will also offer Seed Library-related hands-on programs for all ages about the life cycle of a plant from seed to harvest to highlight the importance of taking care of the land, community, plants, and fellow creatures. Participants will learn about gardening, conservation, and taking care of the environment. Everyone is welcome— from beginning gardeners to the most advanced green thumbs!
The Seed Library is located just inside the Youth Department.
